Issues
The local plan and council's planning scheme are key statutory
documents governing future development in West End and near
suburbs. Individual development applications are the pathway
to implementing those statutory documents.
Planned Outcomes/Strategies
The development applications/local plan group aims to promote
WECA's agenda by lodging formal submissions to Council on the
both the local plan and on major development applications in
West End and near suburbs.
WECA seeks information from the community about public notification
of development applications so our group can respond in a timely
fashion. WECA advises that development applications may be viewed
on the website of the Brisbane City Council http://www.brisbane.qld.gov.au/BCC:STANDARD::pc=PC_227
